what to do?

My mum bought me this Simply Vera Wang dress. I do not  really like it because I still do not understand the fit.The dress is my size but there is just something about it that makes me feel it could sit better.I however have refused to make any alterations/adjustments just yet. Another thing I find hard is getting the right accessory to use with it, because of the detail around the neckline, it feels wrong putting on a neck piece and at the same time my neck looks and feels bare without one.
I wore this to church and got compliments, so I guess it isn't that bad! :). What do you guys think? Alter or not, neck piece or no neck piece?

    darling its a very preety dress but all wat i can say is if u want to look a lil bit more vava voom
    u could use a skinny red belt it would bring out the purple and the neck piece goes well with it and to make it more outishh big kim K CURLS

    it's perfect! i think shift dresses that are straight up and down are hard to wear, but you look great! the neckpiece looks like part of the dress! very elegant :)))

    Dangling earrings,use a belt, play around with your shoes and handbag(Bold colours, statement shoes)
    Like Myne said, black doesn't do it much justice. It's a nice dress :)

    I like the dress, you look beautiful,

    I would wear minimal accessories (stud earrings) and put the attention on your face and dress, so a nice deep purple lipstick would make this pop!

    Cute dress, I would say definitely no to a necklace, the neck detail on the dress is really pretty and doesn't need anything else. The colour really suits you... A cute little jacket might add a bit more shape to it?
